Darrell Carl Gustafson

Darrell Carl Gustafson, age 67, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Providence Portland Medical Center.

Private services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Darrell was born December 15, 1941 in Portland, the adopted son of Carl M. and Pearl A. Gustafson. Darrell was a 1959 graduate of Beaverton High School. He moved from the greater Portland area to Grants Pass. For 25 years he was employed with the City of Grants Pass Parks Department and retired at age 58.

His hobbies included steelhead fishing, camping with his children, working in his yard and garden and tinkering with his Mustang.

Survivors include five daughters, Yvonne Vu of Portland, Yvette Gustafson of Salem, Darlene Purdy of Medford, Lisa Venekamp of Grants Pass and Patrisha Parker of Corning, California; a son, Joseph Gustafson of Salem; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death was his parents and his sister, Marilyn Meck.
