Clifford Earl Boronda

Clifford Earl Boronda, age 70, of Cave Junction, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Illinois Valley Chapel with gathering to follow. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.

Clifford was born July 11, 1941 in Oakland, California. In 1959 he graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, California. On April 10, 1965 in Reno, Nevada he married Charlotte Castro. He worked for General Motors for several years and then for the county in Sheridan, Wyoming for eight years. For 20 years he worked for the city of Fremont as a City Park Maintenance worker until his retirement in 2002. He moved from Fremont to Grants Pass nine years ago.

He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Sheep Foundation, Elks Foundation, Tri City Anglers and the National Rifle Association.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and visiting Seven Feathers. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Boronda of Cave Junction; three sons, Roger Bohn of Englewood, Colorado, David Bohn of Medford, Oregon and Michael Boronda of Grants Pass; a sister, Marlene Brooks of Chico, California; a brother Ken Boronda of Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
