Cliff Hanson

Cliff Gene Hanson, age 87 of Grants Pass, died February 9, 2023 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Cliff was born March 25, 1935 in Maud, Oklahoma to Ernest and Cora Hanson. He was raised in San Luis Obispo, California and graduated from San Luis High School where he met his wife, Eve. They married in 1955, raising three kids in Santa Maria, California. For 20 years, Cliff worked as a Safeway store manager. After retirement, he and Eve owned and operated two restaurants. In 1989 they moved from Arroyo Grande, California to Grants Pass.

Cliff was active at Savage Street Church of Christ.

For several years he drove non-medical transport.

His hobbies include woodworking, watersports, creating cards for family and friends, and RV travel.

He is survived by his wife Eve Hanson; daughters Kathy Clasby, Janette Bennet, and Patricia Larsen; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
