Charlotte L. Fairbank
March 31, 1930 – August 8, 2022

Born Charlotte Louise Downing in Providence, Rhode Island to Louis Downing and Florence Downing (Hosier), Charlotte grew up in a Christian home and her faith in Christ remained strong throughout her life.
She always managed to find a church family no matter what community she was living in, including during her final years in Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ashland, OR. She was able to pass peacefully in the knowledge that she would be with her loved ones in heaven.

From the days of her Red Cross volunteer work as a young teen during WWII, Charlotte wanted to be a nurse. Life and children put that dream out of reach until, at the age of 70, she was very proudly able to complete an Associate Degree and obtain her LPN Nursing License.

Along with her family, sharing her faith, nursing and the music of John Denver, she loved to crochet, knit, and sew. She was always working on 3 or 4 projects at once while on the lookout for her next one. Being unable to go on a planned mission trip to Honduras, Charlotte gave generously and was very proud of her support to various missionary families in many different parts of the world.

Charlotte was preceded in death by Lester N. Fairbank, to whom she was married for 45 years until his death, as well as one of her grandchildren, Zachariah Myers. Her children survive her: Chuck Myers (Larie), St. Amant, LA, Cathy Murphy (TJ), Medford, OR, Rick Myers (Kathy), Medford, OR, Sue Cloward (Don), Stockton, CA, Jon Myers (Lisa), Waco, TX, and Kenneth Fairbank, Spring TX, as well as 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grand children.

Thank you to Brenda, and the rest of the Providence Hospice Staff as well as the caring staff in Memory Care at Skylark.

A memorial service is planned for 10:30 a.m. on August 20, 2022 at Ashland Grace Point Church in Ashland, OR. Private burial will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
