Charles W. "Smitty" Smith

Charles W. “Smitty” Smith, age 68, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests doing a kind deed in Charles’ memory.

Charles was born January 23, 1941 in Camden, New Jersey. In 1964 he moved from Gardena, California to Grants Pass. He retired Deputy Sheriff in 1990 after 21 years of service.

He was a member of the Josephine County Sportsman’s Association and the Masonic Lodge.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Smith; four children; a sister, Dorothy M. Coleman and a brother, Albert G. Smith, Jr.
