Carson Wayne Wilson

October 22, 1955 — February 17, 2017

Having just moved to Cave Junction, OR he was a resident of Crescent City, CA for 40 years, Carson Wayne Wilson passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2017. Growing up in a military family he lived in many places across the United States during his young childhood. Upon his father’s retirement, they lived in Vallejo, CA where he attended school before his family moved to Crescent City. He joined the US Navy in 1974, completing his enlistment he moved to Crescent City to be near his family. He was a commercial fisherman on the F/V Sea Mint when it went down off the Oregon coast, before becoming a department manager in retail. He was a star water skier in his teenage years and was an avid outdoors man. His passion was hunting, fishing and camping. Family and friends meant the world to him and he was always there for them. He was a doting grandfather to all of his grandchildren making sure they all had at least one family camping trip each year. He will be sorely missed by his many family and friends.
His is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Laverne, 3 daughters, Venus (Chris) Dimon, Printha Wilson, and Marteen Wilson. His 2 sons, Donnie (Sarah) Moore and Jake Dionne, 12 grandchildren, Brigette, Sativa, Katie, Brendan, Austin, Bailey, Tyler, Sage, Kevin, Riley, Christopher Jr., and Brooklyn, 2 great grandchildren, David and Adrian, and his hunting partner and confidant, his nephew, Brandon Smith. He also leaves behind his mother Phyllis Wilson of Smith River and 3 sisters, Portia Lomax of Phoenix, AZ, Stormy (Daniel) Borelli, Toni (David) Phillips both of Crescent City and his 2 faithful companions his Black Lab Molly, and Brutus.
He was preceded in death by his father Clyde W. Wilson, grandparents Clyde and Evelyn Wilson, and Charles and Dora Bryant and brother in-law David Lomax.
Those that knew him well knew his tough exterior and his heart of gold. Services are pending until further notice.
