Carl G. Trotter, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home.
Carl was born on March 18, 1935 in Mountain View, Arkansas and grew up in Wenatchee, Washington. After many duty stations they along with their four children returned to Ferndale, California for retirement, but at the age of 38 years, Carl was not ready for real retirement - so he tried his hand at lumber production – caf owner (Boy, could he cook!) – store clerk and finally truck driver before real retirement.
Carl & Nancy retired to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1998 where they enjoyed Rving, the weather, and casino’s (they didn’t miss too many casino’s).
In December 2008 Carl was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and after a courageous eight-month fight, being baptized in the Catholic faith, and surrounded by loved ones, he lost his battle on August 12, 2009 at home.
