Bryant Steadham

Bryant “Bud” Steadham, 74, of Grants Pass, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at his home.

No services are planned. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

He was born on January 7, 1933 in Mobile, Alabama to Bryant Steadham Sr. and Genevieve (Fowler) Steadham. His family moved to California where he graduated from San Ramon High School and later attended Contra Costa Community College. In 1980 in Alamo, California, he married the former Carol Nichols, who survives. He worked for UPS for 33 years and retired in 1990. In 1992 he and his wife moved to Grants Pass from Vallejo, California.

He was a former member of the Vallejo Yacht Club and a member of the Grants Pass Golf Club.

He enjoyed golf, sailing, traveling and his Schnauzers.

In addition to his wife, Carol Steadham of Grants Pass; survivors include his two daughters, Kerry Rose of Alexandria, Virginia; and Wendy Stein of Reno, Nevada; two sons, Patrick Steadham of Napavine, Washington; and Pepper Steadham of Grants Pass; two sisters, Jessie Erickson of Clarkston, Washington; and Ruth Ann Robertson of Sacramento, California; his brother, Luther Steadham of Alamo, California; and six grandchildren.
