Brent Eugene Benschoter

Brent Eugene Benschoter, age 50, of Cave Junction, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home.
He was born May 2, 1970 in Whittier, California to Eugene Douglas Benschoter Jr and Wilma Ann (Callaham). Brent’s big brother, Eugene Douglas Benschoter and their parents moved to O’Brien in 1976 and lived in O’Brien, Cave Junction and Kerby areas. He attended Illinois Valley High School. On September 8, 1990 he married Darcy Haskell and welcomed their first child, Tarren (Benschoter) Thomas in 1991; in 1992 their son, Chase Benschoter was born. The couple later divorced; and in 2001 Brent and Laura Dawn Dodson welcomed their daughter, Janine Dawn Benschoter in 2005 and their son, Eugene Patrick Benschoter in 2013.
Brent loved to work on vehicles and could fix anything.
In addition to the love of his life, children and brother; Brent considered himself fortunate to call himself father to Chloe Rose Phillips, Billie Elaine Roberts and John Don Roberts; and is survived by five grandchildren.
