Bobby Don Barrong

Bobby Don Barrong, age 64, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at Grants Pass Missionary Baptist Church. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bobby was born on October 18, 1946 in Forester, Arkansas to Willie & Leona Barrong. He moved to Glendale, Oregon in 1951 where he attended elementary school. In 1962 he moved to Grants Pass and later graduated from Grants Pass High School. He joined the United States Navy in 1964 and was stationed in Hawaii. In 1970 he married Londa Lou Morehouse. They made their home in Grants Pass where Bob was a molder at ECS for several years. One of his greatest joys was to visit with his daughter, Andrea and his grandsons, William and Keagan.

Bob was a member of Grants Pass Missionary Baptist Church.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and panning for gold.

Survivors include his wife, Londa L. Barrong of Grants Pass; a daughter, Andrea D. Dillard of St. Helens, Oregon; his mother, Leona Barrong of Salem, Oregon; two sisters, Joy Shankle of Salem, Oregon and Carol Lavonne Anderson of Ridgefield, Washington; two brothers, Bill Barrong of Mapleton, Oregon and Jim Barrong of West Linn, Oregon; two grandchildren, William Dillard and Keagan Dillard both of St Helens, Oregon and a step-grandson, Brian Dillard of German Valley, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father Willie Barrong.
