Beverly Ann Hickox, age 72, of Grants Pass, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

A viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Pastor Mark Skudstad officiating. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Oregon Affiliate, 1425 NE Irving #100, Portland, Oregon 97232 or to Rogue Valley Medical Center Cardiac Center, 2825 E Barnett Road, Medford, Oregon 97504.

Beverly was born August 31, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska to Bernard & Dorothy Bleick. In 1953 she graduated from Benson High School in Omaha. On May 15, 1955 in Omaha, she married Richard Hickox. She was a homemaker until her children were grown then worked for 30 years in various jobs including in the banking industry and in school district kitchens. In 1990 she moved from Fullerton, California to Grants Pass.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society; Newcomers Group; a member and secretary of Lark Ellen Christian Church; Henry’s Model A Club; and attended Edgewater Christian Fellowship.

Her hobbies included gardening, working in the yard, cooking for large groups, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Dick Hickox of Grants Pass; two sons, Dennis Hickox and his wife Cindy of Gresham, Larry Hickox and his wife Debbie of Rogue River; a sister, Dorothy Bleick of Papillion, Nebraska; and five grandchildren, Phillip, Bethaney, Rebecca, Michael and Ashley.
