Betty White

January 18, 1925 — August 1, 2017

Betty M. White, age 92, of Grants Pass, died August 1, 2017 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Betty was born January 18, 1925 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Walter & Goldie Holmes on a dairy farm on Lower River Road. She was the sixth of eight children. In 1943, she graduated from Grants Pass High School. She married Jack Brown and he preceded her in death very soon after he returned from serving in World War II. In 1949, she married A.L. Reinaker and had two children before later divorcing. She worked for Southern Oregon State Bank, Security Pacific Bank and Bank of America before retiring from the banking industry. She returned to work as office administrator at Moser Paving for 18 years, retiring at the age of 80.

Betty was a member of the Betty Club and First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and belonged to a women’s group.

She especially enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Lane McBee and husband Doug of Grants Pass, Oregon; a son, Vandy Charles Reinaker of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Heath McBee and wife Sara of Salt Lake City, Cory McBee of Grants Pass, and Jody VanBuskirk and husband Tyler of Williams, Oregon; and four great-grandchildren, Ivan and Sophia of Salt Lake City; and Riah and Indie of Williams.

An infant daughter, Vickie Ann preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2017 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Brother Greg Widener officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
