Betty C. "Sherry" (Wilson) Adams

Betty C. “Sherry” (Wilson) Adams, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Countryside Village for both Lloyd & Sherry Adams. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born April 18, 1924 in Spokane, Washington to Thelma Franklin and James Wilson. She married Adriel Benbrooke and they later divorced. In 1953 in Walla Walla, Washington she married Lloyd Adams. In 1987 she moved from Venice, California to Grants Pass. She enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lloyd Adams of Grants Pass; a son, Adriel Benbrooke Jr of Michigan; two stepdaughters, Gail Simmons of Kenmore, Washington and Linda Gilbert of Chewelah, Washington; a stepson Michael Adams of Las Cruces, New Mexico; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Benbrooke and a grandchild.
