Beatrice Nadine Lewis

Beatrice Nadine Lewis, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, Oregon.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens with Pastor Monty Pope Officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Beatrice was born January 28, 1931 in Bellflower, California to Joe & Sybil Paquette. In 1938 she moved from California to Selma, Oregon where she attended grade school and middle school. In 1949 she married Bob Miller in Grants Pass, they later divorced. In 1953 she married Chuck Lewis in Grants Pass. She worked as a housekeeper at Mariola Nursing Home in Grants Pass. Her most recent job was a fire watch person for Plumley Logging and Construction Company, Inc. where her and Chuck enjoyed being in the woods and watching the wildlife. She loved life and will be greatly missed.

Her hobbies included going to the beach with her husband, Chuck, which was a great pleasure for them both. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, gardening, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include two children, Mary Lou Wellock and Bob Miller, Jr.; four sisters, Mary Pope, Joan Keniger, Vera Gamez and Alice Nole; six grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Chuck Lewis; a brother, Ernie Paquette and former husband, Bob Miller.
