Auby Blackwell

Auby Blackwell, age 67, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at the Hull & Hull Chapel. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Auby was born August 18, 1941 in North Bend, Oregon. She grew up in Coos Bay & Portland and attended the University of Portland. In 1982 she moved from California to Grants Pass. In May 1987 she married Burton Blackwell. Together with her husband she made a living in real estate investments.

She made generous donations to philanthropic organizations. She was a breast cancer survivor.

Survivors include her husband, Burton Blackwell of Grants Pass; three daughters, Cheryl Pisano of Discovery Bay, California, Monica Peters of Tigard, and Dr. Lorna Gober of Bellingham, Washington; a sister, Christina Roberts of Oregon; a brother, Larry Daugherty of Southern California; and four grandsons.
