Ardell Ilene Montgomery

Ardell was born in Fruitland, ID on January 1, 1922. She married Stanley William Kennon and gave birth to her daughter, Krystal Anne. They later moved to Norwalk, CA where Ardell later divorced and began working at N.A. Rockwell where she was involved with the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs. Upon retirement, Ardell moved to Grants Pass where she joined the LDS church, and met and married her true love, Tommy Montgomery. They were sealed together in the Jordan River temple in 1991 and resided in Grants Pass until she passed away on August 23, 2007 at the age of 85.
Ardell always loved working in her garden, tending her roses, and caring for all God''s creatures. She was known for her generous nature, never allowing anyone to leave her home without some small gift.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Maureen & Pete Cobb for the excellent care and concern they provided to Ardell in her time of need.
Ardell was loved and will be missed by her husband, Tommy, daughter Krystal and son-in-law Lyman Hammon, grandchildren Shandra (Hammon) & Phil Pfeiffer, Bryce & Allison Hammon, Shlori (Hammon) & Dana Daniels, Levi & Tiffany Hammon, Chad & McKinze Hammon, Seth & Ashley Hammon, Jeremy & Hailey Hammon, two stepsons, a stepdaughter, and 16 great grandchildren including one passed and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Arrangements are being handled through Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A viewing will be at 12:30 pm, Monday, August 27, 2007 in the Relief Society Room with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at the LDS Stake Center on Williams Hwy with graveside service following.
