Annie Oden, age 78, of Grants Pass, died February 17, 2018 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
Annie was born August 16, 1939 in Orange, California to Herbert A. Evans Jr & Enid Robertta Bowles. At the age of 5, she moved with her family from Orange to Grants Pass. In 1957 she graduated from Grants Pass High School. On November 29, 1957 in Etna, California Annie married Deb Oden. For many years she worked at Griffiths Department Store. She also owned and operated and worked as bookkeeper for Deb’s Auto Glass.
Annie volunteered with PTA at both Manzanita Elementary and Fleming Middle School; HEU in Galice; and the Josephine County Election Board. For many years she was a member of Grants Pass Golf Club and a local bowling club where she served as secretary.
Annie loved NASCAR. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, travel, fishing, and watching the hydroplane boat races on the Rogue River. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Deb Oden; son, Russ Oden and wife Teresa; daughter, Raela Oden; and brother, Jack Evans all of Grants Pass; three grandchildren, Robyn Lucas and husband Brandon of Dickinson, North Dakota, Donny Oden and wife Jennifer of Grants Pass, and Kevin Oden and wife Stacey of Wendall, Idaho; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.
