Anne L. Beaman

Anne L. Beaman, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at an adult foster home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Parkway Christian Center with Pastor Dennis Webber officiating. Private interment will be at Eagle National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Anne was born February 7, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Charles & Lucille (Pittman) McPherson. She grew up in Los Angeles and in 1953 graduated from Ben Franklin High School. On October 10, 1953 in Los Angeles, she married Jean C. Beaman. After she raised her family, at the age of 50 she returned to college in the LPN program and in 1988 graduated from United Health Careers Institute in San Bernardino, California. In 1992 they moved from Fontana, California to Grants Pass. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for 20 years. She was most recently employed at Laurel Hill Nursing Center for eight years.

Since 1992 she was a member of Parkway Christian Center.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters; swimming at the YMCA; sewing; and reading.

In addition to her husband, Jean C. Beaman of Grants Pass; she is survived by four daughters, Renee Schmieder of Grants Pass, Jeanette Dreyer of Tustin, California, Nanette Farley of San Marino, California, and MaryAnn Doherty of Riverside, California; a son, Andrew Beaman of Tokyo, Japan; a sister, Rosemary Heumann of Carlsbad, California; five granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jon Charles Beaman in 1958.
