Andy Grey

December 4, 1925 — November 17, 2016

Nathan Andrew “Andy” Grey, passed away on November 17, 2016 at his home in Boise, Idaho.

Andy was born December 4, 1925 in Belle Plaine, Iowa. At an early age his parents passed away. He did odd jobs, stayed in school and when World War II started, enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a member of several gun crews (armed guard) aboard merchant ships convoying from the South Pacific and ending at Iowa Jima. Upon discharge, he married Ramona Lockbaum and returned to Belle Plaine. After twin daughters passed away, the couple moved to Southern California and Andy graduated from George Pepperdine College. A daughter Sandra and a son Andrew were born. Andy was employed by the Northrop Corporation and retired from the Anaheim division after 32 years as manager of manufacturing engineering department.

Andy was a lifetime member of the Grants Pass Masonic Lodge #84 and enjoyed 11 years of maintaining the Masonic Cemetery and keeping the records up-to-date.

Andy is survived by daughter, Sandra Burdick and husband Jack of Boise, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Vicki Grey of Elk Grove, California; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and great-granddaughter, Lily.

A graveside service was held at the Grants Pass Masonic Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
