Alice May Matthews

Alice May Matthews, age 85, of O’Brien, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at her home.

Family services will be held. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Alice was born April 19, 1926 in Fort Bragg, California to Clyde & Myrtle (Galloway) Snider. In 2001 she moved from Crescent City, California to O’Brien, Oregon.

Her hobbies included sewing, beading, cooking, and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sisters, Ethel Harwood of Crescent City, California and Dorothy Dodal of Arcata, California; five children, Allen Watkins and Evie Wise both of Cave Junction, Oregon, Pam Hay of Crescent City, California, Marvin Watkins of Selma, Oregon and Ed Watkins of O’Brien, Oregon; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in an extremely large family.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Watkins and Larry Watkins.
