Albert H. "Bud" Jackson

Albert H. “Bud” Jackson, age 93, of Rogue River, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Family services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bud was born February 13, 1920 in Oakland, California and was raised in San Mateo, California. He attended school and studied forestry and spent most of his working career as a Highway Engineer and Surveyor for the state of California. In June of 1957 in Reno, Nevada he married Nell J. Jackson, they were married 55 years. In 1977 he moved to Oregon. He lived in Grants Pass for 20 years before moving to Rogue River in 2009.

Bud was a member of First Baptist Church in Grants Pass.

He worked as a volunteer at the Grants Pass Senior Center doing tax returns for seniors with low income.

His hobbies included gardening, bowling, billiards and swimming.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Primis of Anchorage, Alaska; three sons, Darryl Jackson of Grants Pass, Jeff Jackson and Gary Jackson both of Rogue River; a sister, Margaret Jackson of Chandler, Arizona; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife Nell J. Jackson on January 18, 2013
