Aina Eleanor Kendall

Aina Eleanor Kendall, age 97, of Cave Junction, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Community Bible Church in Cave Junction. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.

Aina was born May 2, 1914 in Troy, New Hampshire to Finnish emigrants, Otto & Elmina (Jamback) Radigan. The family moved to Templeton, Massachusetts where she graduated from Templeton High School. In 1941 she met and married Wesley W. Kendall. They made their home in Gardner, Massachusetts until 1966 when they moved to Gardena, California. After her husband Wesley died in 1997 she lived alone until moving to Cave Junction in 2008 to live with her son, Tom and daughter-in-law Nancy.

She attended Community Bible Church in Cave Junction.

Her hobbies included sewing, reading God’s word and traveling all lower 48 states and six provinces of Canada.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Kendall and wife Nancy of Cave Junction, Oregon and James Kendall and wife Sandra of Micco, Florida; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley W. Kendall in 1997; two brothers and three sisters.
