Greg Mesman

Greg Mesman, age 59, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home with his wife and mother at his side.

A celebration of life will be held in Spring 2015. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Greg was born October 4, 1955 in Snoqualmie, Washington to Janet & Fred Mesman. In 1958 he moved from Renton, Washington to Grants Pass and in 1974 graduated from Grants Pass High School. He attended the University of Oregon for three years before moving to Texas where he was a waiter for a few years. He worked as a life insurance agent for Old American for over 20 years. For 25 years he was married to Barbara Mesman, until she preceded him in death. He later reconnected with Patricia (Hargitt) Phillips and they were married June 14, 2014.

Greg was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Greg loved life, his grandchildren, and talking to people. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, shooting guns, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mesman of Grants Pass; three stepdaughters, Celeste Sandoval of Rocklin, California, Tanya Phillips of Medford, Oregon and Rachel Calderon of Grants Pass, Oregon; his mother, Janet Mesman of Brookings, Oregon; a sister, Lisa Fimbres of Brookings, Oregon; two brothers, Bruce Mesman of Grants Pass, Oregon and Fritz Mesman of Oregon City, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mesman and his father, Fred Mesman.
